Jaipur: In another diktat of sorts, Muslims clerics of Kota have imposed a ban on DJs, loud music and wedding bands at Muslim weddings.
The clerics believe that such practices put financial burden on the poor.
As per a Pradesh18 report, though the Qazis of the state agree with what the clerics opine, they do not endorse the ban, stating it’s a matter of personal choice.
Further, in order to make sure that the ban is strictly implemented, the clerics said that no ‘nikah’ forms will be distributed to a cleric if he is found endorsing such weddings.
