Former APCC President and MLC D. Srinivas on Friday took pot shots at Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy’s comment that “the match will not be over till the last ball is bowled” obviously meaning that the process of Telangana formation is yet to be completed.
Interacting with the media during his 65th birthday celebrations, Srinivas observed that the match was over as the process of bifurcation of the state was completed.” There are no more balls left to play the match”, he quipped. In this context he recalled the statement of Minister D. Sridhar Babu that it was clearly evident from the score board that the match was over in favor of Telangana. If anyone tries to change or go against the verdict, the repercussions would be very serious, he warned.
The former PCC President, referring to TDP President Chandrababu Naidu’s changing stance on the bifurcation issue, wondered whether his was a U turn or Q turn. As far as YSRCP was concerned the party has been talking each day a new thing. “Since a decision has been taken for the formation of Telangana state, it is now time for every one to concentrate in resolving the concerns and apprehensions of the people”, he observed.
Reiterating that there was no going back on the formation of a separate Telangana state, Srinivas called upon the striking employees to call off their agitation and assured that the Seemandhra people can live in Hyderabad without any fear. (NSS)
