Hyderabad, February 22: The Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, Professor Tirupathi Rao has rubbished the Home Ministry’s claim that Maoists have infiltrated into the University campus to join the Telangana protests.
Professor Rao said that he does not have any concrete information about the presence of Maoists on the campus. He also clarified that they have asked their students not to accommodate the non-boarders, as it is sending a wrong impression to others.
Earlier, the Home Ministry had claimed that Maoist sympathisers have indeed infiltrated the ranks of pro-Telangana student protestors at the Osmania University, which is the hub of the protests.
