No knowledge on demand for change in portfolio: Raja

Udhagamandalam (TN), October 31: Union Minister for Communications and IT, A Raja today said that he had no knowledge about a section of Congress leaders seeking change in his portfolio following the spectrum scam.

Raja, who is under fire for alleged irregularities in the allocation of 2G spectrum in the wake of the Supreme Court’s sharp criticism of CBI’s “slipshod” investigations into the case, said “as far as I know, there was no such demand (for change of portfolio) from Congress leaders.”

When asked about his reaction on the Supreme Court pulling up CBI for delay on 2G spectrum probe, Raja asked “why this question was raised now”.

The minister, however, clarified that he had not went through the remarks made by the Apex court. “I had not discussed the issue with my advocates,” he told reporters.

Raja refused to answer more questions on the issue.
