Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda, his wife and four others who suffered injuries after their helicopter crash landed on Wednesday, would not require any immediate surgery, according to a hospital bulletin here.
“There is no need for any immediate surgery on any patient .. trauma protocol is being followed, and CT scan reports of all the patients are found normal,” a medical bulletin issued by the Apollo Hospital quoting Neuro Surgeon Dr Sanjay Kumar said.
“The chief minister himself told attending doctors there is no cause for any worry,” it said.
Munda suffered multiple injuries, including fracture in his right-ankle, the bulletin said.
The condition of his wife, Meera, was also stable.
The two pilots, JPS Kaushik and Vipul Kumar Singh, suffered fractures in their waists, it said.
Munda’s security officer, Manoj Singh, sustained injury in the lumber vertibra, and his condition is normal, the bulletin said.
