No Hrithik-Abhishek, Its someone else for Agneepath remake

Mumbai, August 27: There have been some serious rumors, who will play the male lead in the remake of the 1990 hit “Agneepath”.

While the names of some superb actors like “Hrithik Roshan” and “Abhishek Bachchan” came in the lime light but, filmmaker “Karan Johar” seems to have different plans. He clarifies that no one has been finalised to play the part Big B “Amitabh Bachchan” that is everlasting.

The director “Karan Johar” says, “I haven’t made any declarations whatsoever about the actor who would actually be playing the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan that was made an emblem by Amitabh Bachchan. All I have said is that, yes, we are going ahead with a remake of Agneepath and that’s all.”

“Well, the wish list is to get the get the appropriate actor for the role. For present nothing else is more important than that,” he added.

Even though the film is being produced under the banner of Dharma Productions, Johar won’t be going behind the camera for the movie.

“True, I would keep myself aside and the film would be directed by Karan Malhotra, who has assisted me on “My Name Is Khan”. That’s the only thing which has reached any conclusion, else is just a mere rumor. We will finalise the cast once the script is finalized. Currently, it is still in the process of being written,” he added further.
