GHMC Commissioner M T Krishna Babu informed that there was no need for formal inauguration for nala desilting works, BT patch works and summer action.
The GHMC Commissioner held a review meeting on Engineering Works, Property Tax, Town Planning and Health and Sanitation subjects in Panwar Hall here on Monday. Addressing the meeting the Commissioner said that keeping in view of urgency of the works, the above works can be immediately started, soon after completion of tender process, by duly informing the Corporators concerned.
Krishna Babu informed that the responsibility would be fixed on Executive Engineers, if the civil works get sanctioned in FTL (Full Tank Level). He also directed Zonal Commissioners to take under taking form EEs saying that the area doesn’t fall under FTL, as the counts are viewing the issue very seriously.
The Commissioner has wondered why such negligence is shown towards conducting Pin Point Programme and directed Deputy Commissioners to issue ward wise schedule to the Corporators, by duly covering each ward in a month’s time. He further informed that he will issue charge memos to the Zonal Commissioners, if the Pint Point Programme is not conducted regularly in their concerned circles.
Krishna Babu asked the secretaries of Ward Committees to give the schedule of the meetings to the concerned Corporators and after circulation of schedule for 2 to 3 times, the Secretary can ask the committee members to conduct the meeting. He has informed that the High Court is viewing it very seriously and he will submit a detailed report to the State Government about the reasons for non conduct of the meeting. He further directed the Deputy Commissioners and Zonal Commissioners to personally monitor the issue and see that Area Sabhas and Ward Committee are conducted regularly. (INN)
