No fake encounters in Telangana state: KCR

TRS Chief K Chandrasheakra Rao has made it clear that he will not become the Chief Minister of the Telangana state at any cost as said earlier.
Addressing the ‘Meet the Press’ program organized by the Telangana Journalists Union (TJF) here on Sunday, KCR has said that he will not go back on his word that he will make a dalith as the Chief Minister of the new state and he will become a State Advisory Committee Chairman and see that all the assurances given by the TRS will be fulfilled.

KCR said that he will accept the merger of his party with the Congress party only when the Congress accepts his demands. He said that his one of the demands was making of a dalith as the Chief Minister of the new state. He said that there was a need to make a dalith as the Chief Minister of the State to address the grievances of daliths effectively.

Responding to a question, KCR said that he would protect all the Wakf lands and initiate stringent action against the persons encroached Wakf lands.

He said that he will concentrate on Old City more and he would demolish the Hyderabad Race Club and Chenchalguda Jail and construct schools for the Muslims in the Old City. As assured earlier, he would provide 12 percent reservations to the Minorities and top priority will be given to Urdu language. He also stressed that there was a need to implement the Sachar Committee recommendations.

Responding to another question, KCR said that there would not be any fake encounters in the new State Telangana. He said that Maoists were not gundas and they too have idealism. He said that he mentioned many times that Maoists’ socio-economical agenda was TRS agenda and even now he was sticking to that word.

He said that except Maoists ‘Armed Struggle’ agenda, TRS accepts all their idealism as it is. He said that he will have consultations with the Maoists and then only it is possible to maintain peace in the Telangana region. Without peace, development is not possible anywhere, he opined.

He said that he would conduct ‘intellectual type discussions’ with the Maoists but not ‘police type discussions’ to create peaceful atmosphere in the region.
He said that he would distribute three acre land to daliths. He reiterated that he would turn the Lambada Thandas as Gram Panchayats as assured several times.
He said that Hyderabad will be developed in a great way. Satellite townships would be developed under the radius of 100-120 kilometers and it will be linked to the Hyderabad city through Light Weight Rail Transport System (LRTS). He also said that there was a need to construct one more airport in the Hyderabad City.
He said that job will be given to a member of the martyrs families of the Telangana and Rs.10 lakh assistance will be given to them in the new State as Telangana had become a reality with their sacrifices.

He said that the Telangana will have 24 districts with reorganization of districts. He said that taking credit of creation of separate Telangana state would decide by the people not by the leaders.

He said that all his assurances will be fulfilled in the new State as the State will have Rs.50,000 crore plan budget. He reminded the former IAS officer BPR Vittal’s ‘Still Telangana Surplus’ idea to fulfill the needs of Telangana State.
