No evidence found against 9 arrested from Aurangabad, Mumbra

Mumbai: Even after they were produced before the court 4 times, no evidence has been found against the nine youth arrested by Maharashtra ATS from Aurangabad and Mumbra alleging them to be IS supporters.

The suspects have been identified as Jaman Nawab, Khuteupad, Salman Sirajuddin Khan, Fahad Mohammed Ishtiyaq Ansari, Mazahar Abdul Rasheed Sheikh, Mohammed Taqi alias Abu Khalid, Mohammed Mushahid ul Islam, Mohammed Sarfaraz alias Abu Hamza Abdul Haq Usmani and Talat alias Abubakar Haneef Potrik.

The youth were produced before the court on Monday after which they were remanded to judicial custody. The lawyer, engaged by Jamiat Ulama Maharashtra, who is following up their case told that the ATS could not produce a single concrete evidence against them.

Defence lawyer Khizar Patel told the ATS in its 3rd remand had claimed that a large amount was transferred to their account and it had alleged that the suspects had planned to poison food and water reservoirs at various temples to pull off a heinous genocide. However, no forensic report was produced before the court proving the poisoning and chemical attack.
