Hyderabad, October 28: There won’t be any EAMCET for admission into medical courses from next academic year because an all India eligibility test in English and Hindi alone will be conducted in future. State Govt. will issue a notification next week for not holding Entrance Test for medical course. It has been learnt from reliable sources that Medical Council of India has decided to hold an all India level Common Entrance Test for admission into M.B.B.S. course in the country. This test will be conducted only in English and Hindi.
Tamil Nadu state demanded that the test be held in Tamil also. M.C.I. did not accept this demand. An exemption has been given to Tamil Nadu. The state Govt. of Tamil Nadu will conduct a separate test for its candidates.
Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare is said to be responsible for conducting the All India Test.
