Srinagar: Armed militants who claimed that they are the followers of former Hizbul Mujahideen Commander, Zakir Musa stopped the crowd which had gathered during the funeral processions of the alleged militants from raising any pro-azadi or pro-Pakistani slogans.
It is to be mentioned that in Redbugh area of Budgam district, on Wednesday, three alleged militants, Sajjad Ahmad Gilkar, Aaquib Gul and Javaid Ahmad were killed in an overnight gunfight with the security forces.
According to the report published in TOI, youths who claimed to be followers of Musa even stopped the crowd from draping the bodies of three alleged militants in Pakistani flags.
It may be noted that in April too, two gunmen who attended the funeral of an alleged Hizbul Mujahideen militant in Pulwama asked the crowd to follow the rules of the Taliban and the Islamic State and not to support or raise any slogans in favour of Pakistan.
Until the month of May, Musa was the Chief of Hizbul Mujahideen. He quit the group after the members of the group denied to support his statement warning Hurriyat leaders. He warned that Hurriyat leaders would be beheaded for calling Kashmir issue “political” as he said that the fight is meant to establish a caliphate in Jammu and Kashmir as per the rules laid by ISIS.
In an audio message which was released in the month of May, Musa had said that he is fighting for the sake of Islam, will spill blood for Islam and not for the secular state. He also warned Hurriyat leader not to interfere in his Islamic struggle else he would behead them and hang their heads at Lal Chowk.
On Wednesday, many people refused restrictions imposed on attending funeral processions of the slain militants. They even clashed with the armed forces.
