No dispute in TDP over Telangana: Muddu

Hyderabad, November 07: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) senior leader Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu averred that the Andhra and the Telangana leaders in the TDP would not resort to ‘wrestling match’ on Telangana statehood demand.

Speaking to reporters here today, he said Congress president Sonia Gandhi has to take a decision on Telangana.

Asked about Dayakar Rao’s statement on Telangana, Muddu Krishnama Naidu said: “I am not disputing his statement. He is a senior leader of the party. Dayakar Rao has been in the party since 1983 and strived hard for Telangana,” Muddu Krishnama Naidu said and added that there was no dispute within the TDP on the issue.

TDP politburo member E Dayakar Rao had earlier said that TDP would support a bill favouring T, if it was introduced in the Parliament.

Dayakar Rao warned TRS leaders that if they continue to obstruct TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu’s tour in Telangana, the people would teach them a befitting lesson. TDP was sincere on Telangana and it was the Congress which went back on the issue.
