Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that there was no difference between TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Addressing election meetings in the Rayadurgam constituency of the district on Friday, he said Chandrababu Naidu was unscrupulous and had not hesitated to dethrone his father-in-law N T Rama Rao who made him a minister. Likewise, Jagan also stabbed the Congress party, which was like a mother.
The Chief Minister said that Jagan had committed a great sin by betraying AICC chief Sonia Gandhi, who gave him political future. He said Jagan had ignored even his own father’s advice to him, not to betray the Congress party. He questioned what difference could be found in Babu and Jagan, who had both betrayed those who gave them political life. He reminded people that it was Sonia Gandhi who made YSR Chief Minister of the State twice. He said it was astonishing that Jagan was now trying to defeat the Congress party, which made his late father Chief Minister of the State twice.
Referring to the promises being made by Jagan, Kiran has questioned how people, who would be spending rest of their lives in jails, could serve the people. Stating that local YSR Congress candidate Kapu Ramachandra Reddy’s mentor (Gali Janardana Reddy) was already in jail, Kiran Kumar Reddy said any minute he may also go to jail. He alleged that the YSR Congress candidate had plundered the mines when YSR was the Chief Minister. He warned the people that they would have no future if they vote for such a candidate. He said that Kapu had done nothing to develop the constituency for the past three years.
Introducing his party candidate Patil Venugopala Reddy, Kiran said it looked as if Kapu has resigned only to make Patil the MLA.He said he was finding all round enthusiasm in the people at the candidature of Patil Venugopala Reddy.
Kiran Kumar Reddy has alleged that Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has colluded with the TRS and BJP to destabilize the Congress government. He has however maintained that the Congress government would continue till 2014 and beyond. He said Jagan was only trying to become the Chief Minister to safeguard his ill-gotten wealth.
Expressing surprise at Jagan’s criticism on government’s schemes, he said the government has enhanced its share in the expenditure for construction of houses for the poor. He said how Jagan could find fault with all the welfare schemes being implemented by the Congress government. Reminding people that the late YSR always worked with the aim of making Rahul Gandhi Prime Minister in 2014, the Chief Minister asked people to remember it while casting their votes. He said Congress leaders never ever were against late YSR. He said they always stood in the forefront to spurn criticism against him.
