Union minister Vayalar Ravi has said that the central government has not taken any decision on Telangana issue. Talking to press persons in New Delhi he said whenever there is breakthrough on Telangana issue he would inform media.
He refused to comment upon the news reports by some corners of media on the backing or opposition of Telangana. He said negotiations do take place between Congress leaders on Telangana issue but the details of which cannot be disclosed to the media.
Government would have to consult other political parties and sections of Congress leaders in the state before taking a final view on Telangana, said Mr. Ravi. The Union minister emphasised that no decision on Telangana statehood has been taken yet.
