New Delhi, November 15: Gulam Nabi Azad, AICC General Secretary and AP affairs in charge has said that no decision has been taken on appointing the second States Reorganization Commission on Telangana.
He spoke to the media, after a meeting of the core committee at the residence of the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, on Monday evening. Mr.Azad said the Telangana issue came up for discussion in the core committee meeting.A decision on Telangan would be taken only after completing the consultations with UPA partners, he added.
Replying to a question when the consultations would take place,he said the process of consultations has not yet started, and no date was yet fixed for the meeting of the UPA partners on the Telangana issue. He has asserted that it was the intention of the government to find an early solution to the problem.
