Hectic lobbying has begun by various leaders and officers for the post of Telangana Minority Commission Chairman. But according to the Chief Minister’s Office sources the government has not taken any decision so far, as the government doesn’t want to have any sort of clash with present Chairman of Minority Commission for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Mr. Abid Rasool Khan. According to sources, government is considering appointment of leaders recommended by other political parties and some former officers instead of TRS leaders in various corporations. TRS leaders who played a significant role in state’s bifurcation are feeling that they are becoming strangers in their own party.
It has been learnt that a top official serving high post in various minority institutions specially Hajj Committee and Urdu Academy has also applied for the post of Minority Commission Chairman. He is said to have sent an application along with complete biodata to chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Similarly a former officer of power department is also named as a candidate for the post; while a member of parliament is lobbying for his appointment as the director of any board in electricity department of Telangana state.
