TRS spokesman and MLC Karne Prabhakar today denied the Opposition charge that the ruling party has struck a secret deal with the actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena party. “The TRS will not consider Pawan Kalyan as a full-time politician as he comes and disappears frequently”, he said, adding “Pawan is a seasonal leader and there will be no benefit or loss to any political party right now”.
Talking to media persons, Prabhakar ridiculed Congress former MP Ponnam Prabhakar for stating that the TRS has some secret deal with Pawan Kalyan. “Our party is very strong in the State and enjoys public support always and won several elections so far”, he claimed. The meeting of Pawan Kalyan with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao recently was not political one, he said. Pawan met the Chief Minister seeking permission for five shows for his “Agnyathavasi” film and nothing else, he clarified.
“Our party is not that weak to have a truck with other political parties. Pawan Kalyan is an actor and may be coming to people rarely and not a full-time politician. The political parties will think Pawan Kalyan as a full-time politician if he completely say goodbye to the cinema field and dedicate his time for politics only. However, Pawan Kalyan is a seasonal leader and there is neither benefit nor loss with the Jana Sena. We say all the best to Pawan if he takes up a full-time political yatra”, he added. (NSS)
