New Delhi: Rapid changes are witnessed in the national politics following BJP’s defeat in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh bye-elections. The no-confidence motion moved by YSR Congress in the parliament has rocked national politics. It has made Modi government and NDA jittery. According to sources BJP is trying to placate its supporters.
Though political analysts feel that Modi government is in no danger due to no-confidence motion but still BJP has called its senior leaders to Delhi and discussions are going on. TDP has broken ties with NDA and is lobbying against the government. Besides that, the no-confidence motion moved by TDP and YSR Congress has gained support from several other opposition parties which has multiplied Modi government’s problems.
Besides principal opposition Congress, major parties like AIADMK, TMC, NCP and CPI have announced support to the no-confidence motion. According to reliable sources Congress is in touch with parties disgruntled with NDA. Hopefully, UPA will get reinforced.
It must be noted that NDA’s main ally Shiv Sena is already disgruntled with the Modi government, it may also go with the opposition in the no-confidence motion.
It must be recalled that Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Rawat has made a statement against the Modi government. On the other hand, LJP chief and union minister Ram Vilas Paswan’s son Chirag Paswan is also not happy with the present government he is saying that the criteria of their alliance in 2019 will not be like that of 2014.
BJP also fears that the disgruntled MPs of BJP can also go against the party. Shatrughan Sinha, Yashwant Sinha, Lal Krishna Advani and Dr Murli Manohar Joshi are not happy with the government. Their rebellion can damage the Modi government.
