Hyderabad: Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel has directed the Waqf Board not to give permission for commercial activities inside Hajj House premises. Omer Jaleel who is also the Competent Authority of the Waqf Board has issued written order to the Board in this connection, and made it clear that no commercial activities can be permitted in the building.
It must be noted that applications for business activities were submitted by some quarters and Secretary Minority Welfare was being pressurised by some quarters to approve them. Such illegal activities were being carried out in the Hajj House premises for 4 years in connivance with workers of Waqf Board and Hajj House. Secretary Minority Welfare took serious note of the matter and issued orders against such activities.
