Hyderabad: City Civil Court of Hyderabad issued a status quo yesterday till 21st December on the Beef and Pork festivals scheduled to be held on 10th December on the OU campus.
On the petition submitted by Janardhan Goud, Advocate, court issued these orders. He had complaint that these festivals could create law and order problem and disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the city.
He contended that these festivals are being conducted in a provocative manner and are hurting the sentiments of both Hindus and Muslims. He pointed out that in the festivals held earlier, many people were injured and police registered criminal cases for attempting to murder under IPC Section 307.
