No Beds in Kamatipura Hospital

There is a huge building of Govt. Civil Hospital in Kamatipura which was supposed to be a 30 bedded hospital inaugurated by Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu in 2005 is devoid of beds..

It is regrettable that there is not a single bed in the hospital. This hospital is commonly known as Palam hospital. Fifty years back a doctor by name Palam had come from Madras who used to treat plague patients.

Patients from every nook and corner of the city used to come to him for treatment. This hospital became famous with his name. This hospital is located on a one acre land. The board of the hospital depicts that it is a 30 bedded hospital but not a single bed is available inside the hospital.

It is a lie and a mockery with the public. There are no medicines in the hospital. The hospital staff consists of 4 persons. The timings are form 9 am to 12 noon and 4 to 6 pm. Doctors are available only in the morning session. Treatments for fever, cough and such other ailments are done in this hospital.

As per the statements of the local residents, doctors used to treat earlier for T.B. , leprosy, leconderma etc.

According to Medical officer Dr. Shobha Devi earlier patients suffering from diabetese used to come but they are not coming now. Daily 350 patients come to this hospital. In 2011, 10,765 patients registered their named for the treatment of various diseases. Medical Dept. should take care of this hospital immediately.
