Sri Lanka, August 18: In a shocking development in the no- ball controversy, the Sri Lanka media on Wednesday asserted that it was the opening batsman Tillekeratne Dilshan, who directed Suraj Randhiv to bowl a no-ball to deny Sehwag his ton.
A Sri Lanka newspaper ‘The Island’ has reported that Dilshan, who was fielding at the cover point instructed Randhiv to bowl a no- ball (oney nam, no-ball ekak danna puluwan).
The Sri Lanka Captain Kumar Sangakkara can breathe a sigh of relief as till Tuesday evening, he was being called the main culprit in the whole controversy.

Randhiv on Tuesday had apologised to Sehwag for his gesture which left him stranded at 99.
Sehwag was just one run short of making a ton, when Randiv deliberately bowled a no ball to him in the tri-series match between India and Sri Lanka in Dambulla in Sri Lanka on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Cricket on Monday also apologised to the Team India manager Ranjib Biswal for Randiv’s disgraceful gesture.
The SLC on Tuesday even directed the team manager Anura Tennekoon to investigate the matter. The report has been submitted to the Sri lanka Cricket board.
