Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha today said Nizamabad city will get a facelift in terms of facilities and would become second IT Hub in Telangana afterHyderabad by next Dasera festival in 2018.
The State Government has released Rs 350 crore for development, including Rs 100 crore for Nizamabad development and Rs 50 crore each to five civic bodies in the district, she said. Kavitha, along with Nizamabad MLA Ganesh Gupta met Minister for IT Municipal Administration and Urban Development K Taraka Rama Rao at Secretariat and urged him to sanction an IT hub and development funds for civic bodies.
Speaking to mediapersons later, Kavitha said the government has sanctioned IT Hub for the Nizamabad city and it has a plan to build space for 50,000 sq.ft, including 40,000 sq ft will be for IT offices and 10,000 sq ft for incubation center. She also expressed joy over getting an IT incubation center and funds for development of the civic bodies. The TRS leader said Nizamabad is important as it is situated in North Telangana between Hyderabad to Maharashtra and it will provide employment opportunities to youths.
On creation of facilities and infrastructure, she said the government under Amrutha scheme of Central government has Rs. 50 cr to each Parliament constituency. My constituency has 5 Assembly segments and Rs 100 cr for City Development she siad. She also extended thanks to KTR for grant of the funds Rs. 350 cr for Nizambad district. The funds, she said, will utilised for laying of roads, drainage facilities, drinking water etc. She welcomed the IT companies to set up shop and business in the district and provide jobs and employment to the local youths. She also said that about 60 IT companies have evinced interest to open up businesses and office units in the proposed IT hub of Nizamabad. (NSS)
