Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police has arrested Mohammed Ghouse Pasha, aka ‘Khooni Ghouse’, in connection with a series of burglaries under its jurisdictional limits.
Mohammed Ghouse was earlier arrested by the Hyderabad police in the sensational Nizam’s Museum tiffin box theft case, wherein a gold tiffin box worth crores of rupees was stolen by the accused.
According to the deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Shamshabad N Prakash Reddy, Ghouse was arrested through a joint operation between the Cyberabad Special Operations Team and the Rajendranagar police. Ghouse was involved in as many as fifteen burglary cases earlier.
He had stolen the gold studded tiffin box from the Nizam’s Museum in Hyderabad’s Old City in September 2018. In the case he was convicted and after his release from jail in August 2020, he continued to resort to thefts, said the police.
The DCP informed that the police recovered Rs 25 lakh worth stolen property and a knife from his possession.
