Nitish’s swearing-in highlights Dalit victory over BJP: RJD

New Delhi /Patna, Nov. 20 : Ahead of Nitish Kumar’s swearing in ceremony, the Rashtriya Janata Dal on Friday said this ceremony underlined the victory of the Dalits of Bihar over the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

“When Bihar wins and the Dalits snatch victory from the BJP’s jaws, I think that underlines the importance of this oath-taking ceremony. That is why almost all important political leaders, people occupying constitutional positions in different states have been invited. That gives a solid statement about why this election was so important, not only for BJP but also for the people of Bihar and us,” RJD leader Manoj Jha told ANI in New Delhi.

“The ceremony has become much important on the ground of the fact that Prime Minister and his political party had put everything in Bihar election including huge amount of resources, all the cabinet ministers were campaigning in Bihar,” he added.

Meanwhile, Janata Dal (United) leader K.C. Tyagi thanked and congratulated the people of Bihar for the win in the Bihar Assembly polls.

“Big thanks and congratulations to the people of Bihar. It’s a joyful event today, politics will be done later. Their party and the Chief Minister will decide whether Tejaswi Yadav will be the deputy chief minister,” Tyagi told ANI in Patna.
