Patna, Oct.31 : Bihar’s former Deputy Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Saturday asked if the election advertisement of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in a Pakistan daily is a conspiracy to influence the voters in Bihar, who are relatives of Pakistani citizens.
“Nitish Kumar’s election advertisement was displayed in a Pakistani daily ‘ Dawn’. After all whom does he want to reach and woo for votes? Is it for Pakistani citizen’s relatives living in Bihar?” Sushil Modi asked.
“We generally advertise in the papers in different states, but this is appalling to see Nitish Kumar giving advertisement in a Pakistani daily. Nitish Kumar is describing his goals after winning the elections in the advertisement. Is it a conspiracy to influence voters who are relatives of Pakistani citizens living in Bihar? JD(U) should give an explanation on this,” he added.
Sushil Modi also asked the Bihar Chief Minister and the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav to clear their stand on reservation to Dalits.
“Nitish Kumar should also tell that during 2005 Lok Sabha elections, he had promised to give reservation to Dalits, he should clear his stands now. Now, there is 50 percent reservation in the country and it cannot be increased further. If reservation is given based on religion, then in that situation there will cut in the reservation to Dalits. Nitish and Lalu are talking of giving reservation to people from other religion which was meant for Dalits. They can go to any extent for votes,” he said.(ANI)
