Patna, Oct. 19 : Taking a jibe at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over his ‘ puraane din’ tweet, Union Communications and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday said that the grand alliance would definitely bring back ‘jungle raj’ unlike the BJP which is committed to ‘acche din’.
“Nitish Kumar ji, teaming up with Lalu ji, you will bring back the old days of ‘ jungle raj’. But we will bring the ‘acche din’ (good days), which will come after November 8,” he said.
Nitish had earlier taunted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his ‘ acche din’ assertion.
“Export has reached bottom this year after regular fall in past 10 months…Modiji forget ‘Acheche din’ (good days), please return our ‘purane deen’ ( old days),” he tweeted.
The war of words between the grand alliance and BJP has intensified in poll-bound Bihar in the past few days.
57 percent and 55 percent voting were recorded in the first and second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections respectively.
The voting for 50 seats in the third phase is scheduled for October 28. This phase will see voting in important districts like Buxar, Patna, Nalanda and Saran.
While the fourth phase is scheduled for November 1, the final phase will take place on November 5.
The counting of votes will take place on November 8.
There are 243 assembly constituencies in Bihar. (ANI)
