New Delhi, Aug. 5 : Defending Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘DNA’ remark, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday said the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish should not link his behaviour with the state.
“The Prime Minister had said it is the context of democracy. The issue is that the kind of politics of hatred practiced by Nitish Kumar, is not in the DNA of democracy. Nitish Kumar has every right to write letter in democracy…. Nitish Kumar should not link his behaviour with Bihar, Bihar is much bigger than him,” Prasad told media persons.
Strongly objecting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘DNA’ remark during his visit to Patna last month, the Bihar Chief Minister said the former’s comments had left him and a major section of society with a sense of “very deep hurt”.
Nitish Kumar had written a letter to the Prime Minister to express his displeasure.
Prime Minister Modi had during his ‘Parivartan rally’ said there was something wrong with Nitish Kumar’s political DNA that led him to ditch friends who had once worked with him. (ANI)
