Patna : Bihar Chief Minister has tipped to be the next president of the Janata Dal (United) after Sharad Yadav stepped down from the post on Monday.
Yadav, who had been serving as the party chief for the last three terms, resigned from the post today and is unlikely to contest for a fourth term.
As per reports, the JD (U) is planning for an expansion before Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, which is slated to be held next year and Nitish Kumar has been unanimously selected to lead the party. (ANI)
