In a sarcastic rejoinder to grand secular alliance’s claim of having a ‘dulha’ (bridegroom) in Nitish Kumar, the BJP on Monday said the JD-U leader was going for a second marriage and no bride would like to garland him.
“Nitish Kumar is going for second marriage. No girl wants to garland a man going for second marriage,” senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said. He blamed Kumar for severing 17-year-old ties with BJP in June 2013 opposing Narendra Modi.
Sushil Modi’s remark came in response to grand secular alliance leader Lalu Prasad’s oft repeated jibe at BJP that it (the alliance) has a ‘dulha’ (bridegroom) in Kumar but NDA has none. The JD(U), RJD and Congress coalition have named Kumar as its chief ministerial candidate in the Bihar poll.
The BJP-led NDA has not named anybody as its nominee for the post and is fighting the poll in the name of Prime Minister Modi.
