Kanpur: Looking to build a political base in Uttar Pradesh which goes to polls next year, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will hold a public meeting at Ghatampur area here on August 6.
The JD(U) chief will also take part in a party function on the same day.
Nitish, who will arrive here on the morning of August 6, will attend a tehsil-level worker meeting before addressing the rally, party leader Suresh Niranjan said.
Niranjan promised a “historic” rally that will have thousands of people in attendance.
Other top JD(U) leaders are also likely to attend the public meeting, he said.
