Patna : Taking a jibe at the NDA regime as it moves closer to completing two years in office, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government, which has done nothing so far, should at least try to make up for it in the remaining term and fulfill the ‘ache din’ promises made to the nation.
Nitish, considered to be Prime Minister Modi’s bete noire, however, sarcastically congratulated the BJP-led NDA Government on competing two years in office.
“Time will pass like this only. They (NDA) have not done anything in the last two years. But still I congratulate them for completing two years,” Nitish told reporters.
“But I would suggest them that as they have been chosen for a tenure of five years, they should try to do something for the people in the coming days,” he added.
BJP president Amit Shah yesterday said that NDA government’s two years in office at the Centre will be written in “golden words” in history for the developmental works, which took place during the place.
Addressing the huge public function organised for the swearing-in of new Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in Guwahati, he made these comments.
On May 26, the government at the Centre will be highlighting its achievements of the last two years.
Prime Minister Modi had earlier in various Cabinet meetings told his ministers that they should try and make the people aware about the development schemes and government achievements in the last 24 months.(ANI)
