Panaji: Union Transport and shipping minister Nitin Gadkari, who earlier managed Delhi as election in-charge for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was on Wednesday appointed in-charge by the party for Goa elections.
As per the report, BJP national president Amit Shah appointed Gadkari as the in-charge for Goa Assembly election, which is due next year.
On Saturday, BJP chief Amit Shah Saturday said that Goa election results will lay the foundation for the victory of the party in 2019 parliamentary elections while adding that the party will win 27 seats in the upcoming assembly elections.
Amit Shah had sounded the poll bugle for the upcoming elections at the booth-level worker’s convention organised at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee stadium at Bambolim recently.
