Mumbai :Nissan India today said it will showcase its world-renowned halo models as well as a refreshed product line-up at the forthcoming Delhi Auto Expo apart from a concept model of its sub-brand Datsun Go.
That apart, it will also display two Twenty20 world cup limited editions of the Terrano and Micra, along with a Terrano special version and the sports version of the Sunny.
As part of its ICC World Twenty20 2016 sponsorship, the Japanese auto major will feature a special interactive zone for cricket fans where they can witness cricketing action even off the field and hit a few sixers, it said.
Nissan will showcase its technology prowess at the pavilion with Eporo Robots, which are designed to travel in a group that mimics the behavioural patterns of a school of fish in avoiding obstacles without colliding with each other.
The Eporo technology was created as part of Nissan’s development of autonomous drive.
Datsun said it will be showcasing a few concepts and variants of its existing models including the Datsun Go-cross Concept, making its debut.
Sharing space with it will be the Datsun Bluebird 1600 SSS (510) rally car, which brought motorsport glory to the brand in the early 1970s, the company said in a statement.
This will be second year of presence for the 80-year-old Japanese brand during which time it has built modern and segment-defining cars.
Datsun’s line-up for the Auto Expo will also feature models celebrating its storied past coupled with a view toward future possibilities, including enriched versions of Datsun Go and the Datsun Go+. Both these models are already sold in the domestic market.
Nissan, which entered the domestic market in 2005, offers hatchbacks, MUVs, SUVs and sedans. It had brought the Datsun brand here in late 2014 after its global reintroduction in March 2012 along with the Infiniti.
