Belgaum, August 21: Nine more suspected cases of swine flu were reported in the city on Thursday taking the number of suspected cases to 120.
All the four, including the two who were found positive on Wednesday have been admitted at an isolation ward in the district hospital. The swine flu affected patients are responding to the treatment, according to the doctors.
Eight suspected cases were found at the district hospital while one case has been detected at KLES hospital.
The samples of swabs and blood of the suspected have been sent to NIMHANS for test.
A 12-year-old girl who was detected positive on Wednesday is a student of St Joseph High School and the other man is from the TV Centre in Hanumanagar area who returned from Bangalore on August 15 with H1N1 symptoms.
Meanwhile, a seven-member doctors team rushed to the St Joseph High School and conducted tests on all students and educated the teachers about the H1N1 and its symptoms and measures to be taken to check the spread of the disease.
Three teams of doctors with six-members in a team are looking after the development on the health of the H1N1 patients.
The teams checked 3,210 people in Belgaum division and 2,987 persons in Chikkodi division on Thursday.
