Nine militants killed in Pakistan

Islamabad: Nine militant commanders were killed during a clash with the Frontier Corps (FC) troops in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, Geo News reported on Sunday.

The clash occurred during a search operation in Awaran district. The FC seized large cache of arms and explosives from militants.

Though Frontier Corps is meant to help in local law enforcement and carry out border patrol and anti-smuggling operations, its units have been recently used in military operations in Balochistan and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
