Hyderabad, December 18: Nine persons were killed and over 12 injured when a state-run bus collided with a lorry in Adilabad district this evening, police said.
The APSRTC bus was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry on NH-7 at Kutti Ghats of Adilabad district at about 7.30 pm, they said.
“According to preliminary reports, nine persons including a woman and the lorry driver were killed on the spot while 12 other occupants of the bus suffered injuries,” a police officer told PTI.
The injured were rushed to a hospital in Adilabad town and the casualties may go up, he said.
Senior police officials rushed to the mishap spot.
