The Commissioner’s Task Force teams on Monday raided Satta gambling dens and nabbed nine Satta gamblers at various places in the city in order to curtail gambling/satta betting and seized cash of Rs 24,195 and 53 Satta chits from them.
In a pressnote here today, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad stated that the South Zone team apprehended five persons while they were accepting Satta betting in the limits of Bhavani Nagar, Dabeerpura, Santhosh Nagar, Falaknuma and Madannapet Police Stations and seized Rs 6,700 and 28 Satta chits from their possession. The North Zone Team apprehended one person while he was accepting Satta betting under Gopalpuram Police Station limits and seized Rs 615 and three Satta chits from his possession.
Similarly, the West Zone Team apprehended one person while he was accepting Satta betting under Humanyun Nagar Police Station limits and seized Rs 5,070 and eight Satta Chits from his possession. The East Zone Team apprehended one person under Kachiguda Police Station limits and seized Rs 9,700 and three Satta chits from his possession. The Central Zone Team also apprehended one person under Nampally Police Station and seized Rs 2,110 and 11 Satta chits.
The raids were made under the supervision of P. Rameshaiah, Additional Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad, he added.
