Nine cars damaged as lorry goes amok

Hyderabad, October 09: A lorry went berserk near Jubilee Hills checkpost on Thursday night creating a major traffic snarl for more than an hour. Nearly nine four-wheelers were damaged as the tipper rammed into the pile of cars which were waiting at the crossroads for a green signal.

Luckily, there were no casualties. Only one person, who suffered injuries, was shifted to Apollo Hospital. According to the police, nearly 15 cars had stopped near the Jubilee Hills checkpost as the signal turned red. The driver of a tipper, coming from Madhapur towards Banjara Hills, lost control over the vehicle and rammed into the cars.

It damaged nearly nine cars, including a sports car, before coming to a halt. The driver of the tipper with registration number AP 27 T 8518 fled from the spot.
