Gurdaspur: The district administration has clamped a ban on transportation of cows at night in Gurdaspur to stop the illegal trade of cattle.
Gurdaspur District Magistrate Abhinav Trikha has imposed a ‘dusk to dawn’ ban on transportation of cows in the district, said an official release here today
The ban has been imposed following the reports of illegal trade of cows, it said, adding the DM has directed cow owners to register their animals with the animal husbandry department.
