The National Investigating Agency (NIA) has issued alerts about suspected terror attacks in the national capital Delhi and the country’s economic Mumbai in the days to come, as per reports on Friday.
The apex investigating agency has altered the police force in Delhi and Mumbai and other agencies and asked them to remain more vigilant in view of the terror threats.
The NIA has reportedly written a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and apprised it of the fact that the some terrorist organisations are preparing to attack key installations, buildings and monuments in the two big cities.
In its letter, the agency said that the militant outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM) has plans to target Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar, Anand Vihar among other areas in Delhi
The NIA also suggested that the IM has conducted recce of the prime targets in Delhi and Mumbai through its sleeper cell.
