MIM Legal aid to Muslim Youths, who arrested by NIA: Owaisi

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi has claimed that five youth were arrested by the NIA from the Old City of Hyderabad were innocent.

Addressing the ‘Yaum-ul-Quran’ meeting on the occasion of Jumatul Vida (last Friday of Ramzan) at Mecca Masjid today, the MIM president accused the investigating agencies of pursuing ‘Hindutva’ agenda to implicate innocent Muslim youth in false cases. He said as per the information gathered by the MIM, all five youth were innocent and his party would provide all legal aid to them.

Asadudddin Owaisi said despite acquittal of several youth in previous case, the investigating agencies have not left the practice of implicating innocent youth. He said more than 70% of cases booked against Muslim youth in the name of terror resulted in acquittal. He advised the security and investigative agencies to mend anti-Muslim attitude and avoid targeting innocent educated Muslim youth. He said all the sections of Indian Muslims have declared ISIS as non-Islamic and their activities are being condemned and opposed. He also advised Muslim youth not to get influenced with ISIS propaganda or show any sympathy towards any terror group.

The MIM president also announced his support to advocates’ agitation demanding bifurcation of High Court. He said Chief Ministers of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States, K. Chandrashekar Rao and N. Chandrababu Naidu respectively, should sit and resolve the issue amicably. Without naming him, he also sought the intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resolve the High Court bifurcation issue. (INN)
