TRS MLA K Tarakarama Rao on Monday said that the next five years would be a big test for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Speaking to media persons after meeting MIM leaders at Akbaruddin Owaisi’s residence at Banjara Hills here, KTR said that the TRS Government would face several challenges in the next five years and therefore, it needs the cooperation of all parties and sections of the society. He said that the Telangana State needs development, peace and stability to achieve higher growth rate. The Muslims and Christians have a sizeable population in Telangana and the development targets could not be achieved without their active cooperation, he said.
KTR said that the TRS aims to give new direction to the Telangana and it would protect and promote more than 400-year culture of Hyderabad which would serve as growth engine for entire Telangana. He assured that the TRS would fulfill all the promises made by TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao for the welfare of minorities, protection of Wakf properties and other measures. He said that the TRS would need the support of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen to pass the test during the next five years. (INN)
