Union Minister Nithin Gadkari has stated that the newspapers have to publish news aiming the development of the society but not politics.
Gadkari launched a new Telugu daily titled ‘Vijayakranthi’ here on Saturday. TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, BJP state president Dr K Laxman, TTDP Chief L Ramana, CPI senior leader Dr K Narayana, CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy, TJS Party chief Prof. M Kodandaram participated in the program.
Speaking on the occasion, Gadkari wished the new daily to publish news daringly and impartially. He said that the raw material of newspapers was importing from foreign countries and the print media was not in a position to move ahead due to electronic media. The Union Minister said that the centre was initiating steps for preparation of natural Ethanol. He also said that the problems of water will be solved while linking the rivers in south India. (NSS)
