Hyderabad: Unidentified miscreants attacked V6 news channel anchor Bittiri Sathi today in front of the office with helmet. Sathi received injuries and the office staff shifted him to nearby Star Hospital.
The alert security staff caught the attacker and handed him over to Banjara Hills Police Station. Police identified the miscreant as Manikanta.
Speaking to the media, Manikanta said he attacked Sathi because the latter was suing Telangana dialect in a grimacing manner.
It may be mentioned here that Bittiri Sathi got famous with his show Teenmar, in which he uses Telangana accent perfectly. He has full fan following across the State. Sathi was also getting cinema chances these days. Sathi was also playing judge role in some comedy shows. Sathi’s original name was Kavali Ravi Kumar. (NSS)
