Ghaziabad, April 11: A newly-wedded woman travelling with her husband in a car was shot at by two motorcycle-borne men, one of them suspected to be her brother-in-law, in Muradnagar here, police said today.
Sarita was going to her in-laws house with her husband, Brij Mohan, in a car when the incident took place last evening near ganga pipe line, they said, adding she was rushed to a hospital.
Sarita was married to Brij Mohan three months ago.
The police said one of the men who shot at Sarita was the elder brother of her husband and a case of attempt to murder has been registered against him and his friend.
The police suspect family dispute over property could be the reason behind the attack.
