A 22-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to harassment for more dowry by her husband and in-laws.
Newly-wed among three commits suicide
According to Medipally police, the victim, V Sapna, resorted to the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at her parents’ house in Boduppal on Tuesday night. She had a love marriage with one Srikanth of Ramanthapur in 2014. However, she was allegedly being harassed by her in-laws for more dowry for past few weeks. About 10 days ago, she returned to her parents’ house and committed suicide last night.
In another case, TVK Murthy, 48, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Tara Nagar on Tuesday night. According to Chandanagar police, heavy losses in business are suspected to have driven him to suicide.
In a different case, 24-year-old U Jeevan, a painter, committed suicide after having an argument with his wife Pavitra over some trivial issue. He resorted to the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Bapu Nagar on Tuesday night, Saroornagar police said. (INN)
