Newly built washrooms inaugurated at Govt School

Apart from a kitchen for the mid-day meal scheme, girl students of Zilla Praja Parishad High School in Dammaiguda in the city will have washrooms.

Usha Sharma Charya, an NRI, has built washrooms through her NGO called The JJ Mette Memorial Foundation for girls students.

The washrooms and the kitchen were inaugurated by Ranga Reddy District Education Officer, G. Ramesh, here on Sunday. The maintenance of the washrooms were look after by the foundation.

Telangana is part of ‘The Dignity Project’ initiated by Ms. Usha in the US and India constructing washrooms for government schools.

In memory of her son, Ms. Usha started the JJMM Foundation both in the US and India and has been funding many organisations in India, which are committed to rendering meaningful social service to the society, especially the children.
