A newly- married couple robbed on Wednesday night on Kakinada- Uppada beach road. The two who sustained injuries were admitted to Kakinada government general hospital.
According to sources the couple, Suresh and his wife Jayasri of Gollaprolu town in the district were on their way to their destination on a two-wheeler through beach road after shopping in Kakinada.
Three miscreants under drunken state intercepted them with liquor bottles and snatched the gold jewellery from Sridevi and cash from the wallet of Suresh. In the scuffle, the couple sustained injuries inflicted with broken liquor bottles.
