On Saturday night, a newborn baby girl was found abandoned on the premises ofMariyamma temple in Chellakere, Hennur police limits.
According to police, the baby was enveloped in white cloth and left on the temple premises. The neighbours become aware of the baby when they hear its cries. On information, the police shifted the infant to Dr Ambedkar Hospital.
A said by the police officer, “The baby’s health had deteriorated as it was left out in the cold. It appears that the infant is just a couple of days old. A case has been registered.”
